La Cerdanya Aerodrome welcomes you, whether you fly in or drive to our airfield. If you come flying, we are pleased to offer our refuelling service, hangars, and restaurant. If you come by car, you'll enjoy the great variety of aeronautical activities we provide: anything from gliding to hot air ballooning, private pilot courses, ultralight flights, and much more.

Priviledged location
Sited between Das and Fontanals, very close to Alp, La Cerdanya Aerodrome's location is perfectly suited for both the practice of aerial sports and to act as the best destination for fly-ins.

A wealth of destinations are available less than 30 minutes flying time at both sides of the border, as well as a wide variety of services and aerial activities in the field. On top of that, the aerodrome is surrounded by an exquisite gastronomical, sports, and touristic offer.
Weatherwise, La Cerdanya has a particular micro-climate which makes the aerodrome the flying spot with the most sunny days in Europe.

A symbol of the ceretan aeronautical spirit
Built in 1971 with the founding of the now-disappeared Aero Club de La Cerdanya, the Aerdrome grew because of the gliding activity of the Centre de Vol a Vela La Cerdanya, which would later become a section of the Aero Club Barcelona-Sabadell.

Integrated in the new airports plan from Generalitat de Catalunya, the airfield management, which belongs to Generalitat de Catalunya and the Consejo Comarcal de La Cerdanya, was put up for public tender in 2008, which was won by Gestió Aeronàutica Ceretana, S.L. consortium, composed by Aero Club Barcelona-Sabadell, CAT Helicòpters, Masella, and La Molina.

An aerodrome integrated into its natural surroundings
La Cerdanya Aerodrome amalgamates perfectly with the unique natural environment, with aircraft that grant spectacular views to the beauty of the landscape of the Cadí mountain range and the Pyrenees.

The main airfield activity is gliding, also called soaring, which allows views of La Cerdanya flying the same way birds do, climbing over the mountains thanks to ascending warm air currents.
There's also hot air ballooning taking off from the airfield. The balloons are exceptional balconies where only the sound of our voice breaks the silence of dusk in the valley.

The aerial offer is complemented by powered flight courses in light airplanes and ultralights: a different way to travel while we enjoy views of La Cerdanya and the Pyrenees like you had never seen them before.

We look forward to your visit at La Cerdanya Aerodrome: Fly Pyrenees!
